1. What Pados is
Pados is a technology platform that connects residents of a participating housing society with local shops at that society's gate, so residents can browse, order, and track deliveries, and shops can manage orders, stock, and a digital khata (credit) ledger. Pados is a facilitator/marketplace, not the seller — every order is a transaction between you (the resident) and the shop; Pados does not itself sell, stock, or deliver goods, and does not set prices.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and a resident (or authorized member of a household) of a society where Pados operates, or an authorized owner/operator of a participating shop, to create an account.
3. Your account
Accounts are verified by phone-number OTP. You're responsible for keeping access to your phone secure — activity under your account (orders placed, khata settled) is treated as authorized by you unless you tell us your account was compromised.
4. Orders
- Placing an order sends it to the selected shop; the shop confirms availability, prepares, and delivers it flat-to-flat.
- Prices, stock, and product details are set and maintained by each shop. Pados displays what the shop provides and is not responsible for pricing or listing errors, though we'll help you raise them with the shop.
- Delivery and platform fees are ₹0 in the current model — the shop is at your society's gate.
5. Payment and khata
Pados v1 supports two payment modes, chosen at checkout:
- Cash on delivery — you pay the shop directly when the order arrives.
- Khata (credit) — a digital version of the traditional shopkeeper's ledger. The shop extends you informal credit at its own discretion; Pados records the running balance so both sides can see it clearly, and you settle it (in cash, or by whatever means you and the shop agree) whenever you choose. Pados is not a bank, lender, or financial institution — we do not extend credit ourselves, do not process any online payment, and do not charge or set interest. The credit relationship, and any terms around it, exists directly between you and the shop; Pados is only the record-keeping tool.
6. Cancellations and refunds
See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Shop owner obligations
If you operate a shop on Pados, you agree to: list products and prices accurately; keep stock status up to date; fulfil confirmed orders in good faith; and comply with applicable law for the goods you sell, including food-safety licensing (FSSAI, where applicable) and any local tax obligations (GST, where applicable). Pados may suspend a shop that repeatedly fails to fulfil orders or receives credible complaints.
8. Prohibited use
Don't use Pados to list or order illegal goods, to harass another user, to attempt to access another resident's or shop's data, or to interfere with the app's normal operation.
9. Limitation of liability
Pados provides the ordering/khata platform "as is." To the extent permitted by law, Pados is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of items sold by shops, for a shop's failure to fulfil an order, or for disputes over khata balances beyond providing an accurate transaction record. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian consumer-protection law.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms. You can stop using Pados and request account deletion at any time (see Privacy Policy, Contact).
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Gurgaon, Haryana shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
